Our cuisine follows the rhythm of the culinary traditions of Val Gardena/Gröden. To complement this, we recommend an aperitif and digestif as well as a selection of wines.

A warm “Good morning” and our varied breakfast buffet will tempt even the most reluctant morning risers out of bed. A fine selection of local produce, plus everything you need to give you energy for the day. With specialities that change daily, mornings are never dull. Take your time to enjoy it. The mountain isn’t going anywhere.

Our bistro is here for those little hunger pangs and thirst between meals. An aromatic espresso. A light lunch. A good glass of wine accompanied by delicious nibbles, including vegetarian options. Everything comes straight from the kitchen and is freshly prepared – because that’s how it tastes best.
Our ice cream is called Stolz (pride). And rightly so.
Our ice cream comes from Stolz Natur Eis in Völs am Schlern, made with love for detail – without artificial additives, but with all the more passion. Fruity freshness or creamy indulgence, just as you fancy. And then there are the special creations you won’t find just anywhere: apple strudel, Ferrero Rocher, Raffaello, Sacher. Yes, as ice cream. Try them all.

Traditional, down-to-earth, simple and good – that’s how the cuisine of Val Gardena/Gröden valley is known. Here, you’ll get a plus: artfully presented, our creations are a feast for both the palate and the eyes. From the starter right through to the sweet finale, we pay close attention to the quality and regional origin of each ingredient, as well as to treating the produce with respect. Homemade is our priority. A matter of honour, of course! The star of the show is our 4-course menu of choice, accompanied by a sumptuous salad buffet, fresh and crisp. It’s also incredibly varied: no matter how long you stay with us, you won’t eat the same menu twice.
Room with breakfast – and the evening is yours
Don’t fancy committing to anything in the evening? We understand. A bed and breakfast stay gives you the freedom to explore the local area, including its culinary delights: the Alpine hut with the best views, the restaurant everyone raves about, and, last but not least, our bistro with its fine and varied delicacies. We’ll be happy to tell you at reception where else it’s worth a visit. After all, we love good food ourselves.
Special requests? Food allergies or intolerances?
Let us know at booking. It’s no problem for our certified dietary chef Marco to take your allergies or intolerances into consideration. We are one of the few hotels in Gröden that can adapt to your diet and avoid contamination, which, for example, can be problematic for people with coeliac disease. We leave no wish ungranted.

What is included in half board?
Half board includes our breakfast buffet in the morning and a 4-course menu in the evening, complete with a generous salad buffet. Drinks and other items are charged separately.
Can you cater for gluten-free meals and take allergies into account?
Yes. Our kitchen is run by Marco, a qualified dietary chef, who takes special requirements – such as gluten-free meals – into account with the utmost care. It’s best to let us know about any food intolerances when you make your enquiry or booking.
Is there anything to eat during the day as well?
Yes, in our bistro. There you can enjoy an aromatic espresso, a light lunch, delicious nibbles with an aperitif, and vegetarian options too. Everything is freshly prepared in our kitchen.
Can I book a stay with breakfast only?
Yes. A bed and breakfast stay gives you the freedom to explore Val Gardena/Gröden valley’s culinary scene. Our bistro is open in the evenings, and we’ll be happy to recommend some great places in the valley at reception.
